The point of staying here for a night or two is to be in the heart of the relaxing, calm atmosphere and understand what it’s like for the monks who have resided in the monasteries for centuries.
Breakfast and dinner are included, and you can expect to be eat humble yet filling meals. There are walks you can do right from the front door and across the valley floor to other monasteries, which can be arranged with your guide, and it’s worth taking a wander around the monastery buildings at dawn or dusk to experience the beautiful light that falls on the quiet surroundings.
