Terre Brune is a beautiful mountain retreat situated just over an hour northeast of Beirut, in a region known for being home to some of the best ski resorts in Lebanon. For that reason the hotel gets pretty busy in the winter months and during school holidays in the summer, but in shoulder season it’s a beautiful place to be, with excellent rates and stunning scenery all around you. The hotel has been family-run since 2005 and has just 45 rooms, giving it a cosy mountain lodge feel with lots of natural colours and simple but elegant design.
There is a newly-refurbished spa on-site with a full range of treatments available, and a few dining options on offer – the hotel restaurant, Chez Michel, a revered local restaurant serving traditional Lebanese cuisine, and Les Caves de Chez Michel, which specialises in steak, cheese and wine.
